Working Remotely, Knowing Your Numbers & Future of Philanthropy
In this episode of The Intentional Fundraiser, I’m so happy to be talking with my good friend and fellow faculty member at the Institute for Charitable Giving, Shannon Duval about Working Remotely, Knowing Your Numbers, and the Future of Philanthropy.
She presently serves as the Senior Vice President of Philanthropy and Deputy Chief Philanthropy Officer at CommonSpirit Health.
CommonSpirit Health is the nation’s largest nonprofit health system – delivering clinical excellence across a system of 140 hospitals and more than 1,000 care sites in 21 states, here in the U.S.
Shannon’s career has spanned fundraising roles within academic medicine, a national health charity, and community-based care before becoming a leader at CommonSpirit Health.
- Shannon holds an undergraduate degree from Luther College (where she now serves on the Board of Trustees),
- a master’s degree in higher education administration from Indiana University, and
- a master’s of jurisprudence in health care law from Drake University Law School.
Shannon lives in greater Denver, CO with her husband, DeLane, and teenage sons Miller and Kiefer.
